We’re now actively seeking a talented & motivated Engineer or Technician who can complement the Fisktek team’s skillset & experience. If you’re that person then we’d be delighted to hear from you.

SENIOR ENGINEER / ENGINEER

The role is full-time, working alongside our Engineers and Fisheries Scientists in our brand new offices in Dartington, near Totnes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
  • Preparing hydraulic calculations for river engineering structures.
  • Retaining wall and foundation design.
  • Contributing to the production of design drawings.
  • Developing professionally and personally within the industry.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:

We’ll assess your qualifications, skillset and experience and how this could complement the team, however the minimum requirement is a Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Further skills necessary are as follows:

  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is essential.
  • ACAD knowledge essential and CADS Analyse 3D would also be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of current British Standards / Eurocodes, codes of practice and industry good practice is essential.
  • Knowledge of the CDM Regulations.

THE INDIVIDUAL:

You’ll need to be a motivated individual with a genuine interest in civil & structural engineering projects. You’ll enjoy working, and being supported, in a busy (but friendly) time pressured environment to meet multiple deadlines. You will be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. You will need to take professional pride in your work, be organised, numerically literate and analytical, with an attention to detail. Occasional travel to sites across the UK will be required to fulfil this role.

TECHNICIAN
