We have recently completed the installation of a large eel pass on the River Dart, at the weir at Buckfast Abbey. The pass has been constructed as a double line of the EA eel tiles, installed within a channel to retain the water over the tiles. The tiles run down the face of the weir and will provide an effective route upstream for eels, which previously would have struggled to move up the smooth surface of this large weir.
