We are pleased to announce that we are working with Bailey Construction to deliver the Living Heritage of the River Don Fish Pass project on behalf of Don Catchment Rivers Trust. The Heritage Lottery funded project aims to improve habitat connectivity at six weirs on the Sheffield Don in order to promote the return of Atlantic salmon and sea trout and to meet objectives of the Water Framework Directive. Fishtek were instrumental in the design, planning and permitting stage of the works and helped DCRT to secure the initial funding, and we are now working alongside Baileys to deliver the builds through the provision of detailed construction drawings and specialist advice. Construction of a two flight Larinier fish pass is due to start at the first site next week and we look forward to bringing you regular updates and photos of this exciting project!
