Fishtek is doing more and more work aimed at stemming the decline of eels. This includes the design, fabrication and installation of numerous eel passes. We have just completed the installation of a new eel pass on a tributary of the River Dart, which is on our doorstep in Devon.
The pass is designed to improve the passage of eels past a stepped weir/fish pass which is currently a major barrier to their upstream movement. A few pictures of the installed eel pass are below. There is plenty more information about the eel passes that we are able to provide on the website.
