In our local area of the Westcountry, we have been involved in delivering several projects to improve fish passage at various barriers to migration on the River Teign and River Dart. These include re-grading a section of a weir on the River Teign and creating a deep channel up which migrating fish can easily pass and the construction of a new wall and notch at the downstream end of an existing fish pass, which is currently sub-optimal for fish passage.October 2012: Fish pass improvements on the Teign and Dart
