Fish counting with AI - real time analysis, cutting edge technology.
Fishtek have recently collaborated with TiVA, and are now the sole UK distributor for this exciting new fish counting technology. TiVA offer two fish monitoring products, the TiVA Fish Counter (FC) and the TiVA Underwater Video Camera (UVC). These products are particularly unique, as they allow for high-quality data to be collected in real time, with significantly reduced human input than is required by other fish counter systems.
TiVA ‘s fish counter and camera deliver high-quality results and high reliability alongside a user-friendly platform. They are both based on camera technology that recognizes, counts, and measures fish (TiVA FC only) using smart AI algorithms and software. TiVA’s products are continuously connected to a web platform where data can be accessed almost instantly as fish pass by the camera. The platform features user-friendly analysis and reporting tools, accessible from any computer or mobile device for quick and easy access.
The TiVA FC uses AI to process the live video feed in real time. There are two algorithms: a detection algorithm, and a species identification algorithm. The counter also contains a 3D camera which is automatically scans and sizes the fish as they are detected. This is highly effective, even in turbid water providing the glass is kept clear of algal growth.
The TiVA UVC is designed for easy installation and is well suited to temporary monitoring. The UCV is designed to be deployed in a wide range of locations without requiring additional infrastructure. It can be placed directly on a riverbed, in a fish pass or can be fixed to existing structures.
The camera has 2 modes (registration or counting) The counting mode only records an event when a fish moves past from one side to other, whereas the registration mode records all fish movements.
In addition to supplying TiVA equipment, we are also able to conduct installations and design any additional supporting infrastructure required.
